Ian's B-day

Towards the end of Ian's birthday as we were headed home, filthy, sunburnt and nothing but smiles I turned to Ian and said, "I never thought that money would drastically change our lives but it would..... we would have more days like today."

We headed to Kennedy Meadows for the day. Packed a picnic, sunscreen, and plenty of beer. We could not have had a day better spent. The weather was perfect and there was plenty of water in the river to spend a lazy day just floating down stream (but not enough to make me freak out) oh and the most blissful aspect of all, only the souls of nature to accompany us. :) The place was ours to enjoy, sprawl out on, and absorb completely. Ian countlessly expressed how perfect his b-day was and how much fun it was to be in nature and together.

The kids each wrapped their own gifts for Ian. All books, notes and some candy :)
Ian and his two little girls, they love him so much.
TADA!!!! and yes that is a cookie in Emma's mouth.
To the man that holds my heart :) "doesn't get any better than this" :) Happy birthday
Leah becomes part of nature and is drawn to the beauty and details of her surroundings. She is so cool and I love her adventurous spirit.
Nature treasures and her current favorite book.
Ian had to "encourage" Sam to become completely submerged in the water.
Sam loved having stick races and would follow his through the bramble. Tela even got in on the races and I don't know how she did it but would follow her stick (with her eyes) down the stream too.

Emma loved floating down the river and I loved her riding my back as floated down the river together in hot pursuit of Sam to give him a kiss.
This is Tela at nap time.....
Walking back from a ride with nature treasures for our back yard.
Mama bear absorbing the day, my families' smiles and nature
there is always time for some base ball
                                                                     my little ladies
Something about this girl that screams, "I was made for this!!"
Celebrations of life, celebrations of our world and celebrations of us! Can't wait to do it again. :)
