Froot Loop Land

Once upon a time there was a froot loop land. Some animals lived there and they really wanted to eat all the froot loops but they couldn't without a spoon. The spoon was in one of the froot loop mountains. STUCK. There has to be someone with the purest heart to pull out the spoon.
All the animals looked for the one with the purest heart. They found the prettiest princess but she didn't talk nice and she didn't have the purest heart.
Then the animals found the strongest guy but he did not help anyone and he didn't have the purest heart.
Then the animals found a little tiny ant who spoke nice. Then the ant said, "What are you guys looking for?"
And the animals said, "We are looking for someone with the purest heart."
Then the ant said, "Ok I'll watch an eye who has the purest heart. "
Then the ant thought he has a pure heart so he went to the top of the froot loop mountain and tried to pull out the spoon. And HE DID. So the animals could eat all the froot loops.
The End

Emma has gotten into a really bad habit of eating about 10 bites of an apple and then being done and throwing the rest of the apple away. Well today after her 10 bites and acclaimed fullness I said, "But wait if we cut the apple in half and there is a star in the middle then you might get super powers from eating the rest of the apple."
Her eyes got huge as she responded with, "Did God do this? Can I get the super power of shooting fire from my hands? Or maybe I will get the force field or flower gardening without having to plant anything powers."
I didn't know she had so many powers at the tip of her thoughts and was a little concerned that my eating challenge might just bite me in the butt. Then I thought of some other powers eating a whole apple might give her body.
Well off to the kitchen we went and low and behold there was a star in the middle of her apple. Well she munched that apple down.... well as close as she could get to the star so that she would get all the super powers that God had put into this apple.
Amidst her bites she started feeling some powers and about half way done she exclaimed with excitement, "I feel that I am in an invisible bubble" Well if there is ever a super power that you could not argue the existence of, than this is one of them. Whenever I would challenge her bubble it would pop and then reappear. I don't know what super power it held other than making her feel awesome in her invisible bubble. She mostly finished her apple and keeps anticipating if any other super powers are coming. Like maybe she can turn everything to ice.
Sam had his first soccer game and did awesome. He just loves playing and this year his team seems really good. They won 8 to nothing. Last year Sam loved playing goalie cause that was where all the action was, this year he doesn't want to play goalie cause it is boring. He played so great it was as if he had not stopped playing since last year. Love watching his smile race around the field.

Leah continues to be awestruck by her teacher and daily comes home with the funniest quotes from her teacher. The one that still has me laughing is, "My teacher said that she always has goals cause she does not want to drink herself to death like her dad."

Ian and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. He is a good man, with a good heart, and truly a wonderful husband. Can't believe that it has already been five years and can't believe that it has only been five years.
After a long day we enjoyed a music filled evening, in the newly finished back yard, with some wine, cheese and Tela. I told her that it will be the last time she can join us on an anniversary dinner. It was nice to be accompanied by the starlit sky and meaningful songs as we recaptured the last year and our desires for the next five years.

Has Emma been watching The Sword in the Stone lately? It seems to be a very creative retelling of the Merlin/King Arthur tales...

I think that it has been a couple years since she has watched that movie. I don't know where the story came from but that is what I was thinking.
