My Junior park rangers

Over the weekend we took the kids to the national park museum for the Channel Islands and while checking everything out we discovered that Leah and Sam could become Junior Park Rangers after completing an information packet.

Leah had her binoculars on and said that they helped her see the details of the animals in the water.
If you look at the look on Sam's face he was not impressed by the actual size of the elephant seal.
Emma loved riding the seal and dolphin and was very content to do that the whole time Leah and Sam were working on getting their badges.
This is Leah in her element. She loves animals and facts about animals.
Leah and Sam did work very hard at completing their paperwork.

And with a little help from Muna
Yeah they were sworn in and received their badges and certificates.

Sam took the whole thing so serious that when the park ranger asked for his name to put on the certificate he said in all seriousness, "Samuel"
Love it.... love how my kids want to learn and take care of our world. I was proud of both of them for wanting to earn their Junior Park Rangers badges and certificate. Now I have a sworn statement from Sam saying that bugs and sea animals are no longer momentary toys of enjoyment but living creatures that we need to protect.
