I broke down, much to Ian's dismay, and bought a pool. Due to the lack of grass and flat areas at our house we only set up the pool on Wed in Ian's parking spot. Which consequently means that the pool must be put away by the time Ian comes home. And like most things with kids the more effort/time/money/heart that you put into an activity the less time they will play with it, They did love playing in it for a short while than for one reason or another they were fighting or freezing or bored or ....... which has led me to write the following.....
If they only knew how much more I love to dance with them than chase them.
If they only knew how much more I love to play with them than do chores.
If only they knew how much more I love to relax with them than always have something to do.
If only they knew that love covers a multitude of their shortcomings but even love can run dry when all they display is their shortcomings. If only they knew how much I love being their mom.
If only they knew how much I want them to have a happy childhood.
If only they knew than maybe, just maybe, we can all get through the summer with consecutive happy days, love overflowing, and an insanely happy mama.
That is, if they only knew.....
