See they really do love each other....

So on the way to church today I felt like I was in a lamaze class.
Emma had gotten a scrape and a splinter in her foot which was fine until Leah discovered it. And since any breakage of skin, in Leah's world is just horrific, she overreacted which made Emma think that she was dying. So after getting a couple "bandages" aka band aids and Emma crying out in pain, while limping on one foot outside of the moment when her bandage was stuck and she went jumping up and down (on both feet) we got into the car to go to church. On the way Leah is in the front seat instructing Emma to "breath, hold Sam's hand, Squeeze, just breath, hunny you are going to be fine, hold Sam's hand, it's ok you are going to be alright just stay calm and breath slowly." Mean while in the back Emma is following Leah's directions, holding Sam's hand as she is breathing in and out between her little shrieks of ow ow ow and breath.
Everyone will be relieved to know that we made it to church and the foot was long forgotten when Alex tried to take Emma's bandages.

Every so often I have to take pictures of the kids in their moments of being nice to each other just so that I have something to visibly remind myself that they really do love each other. That in the moment of Sam hiding Emma's beloved blanket sending her into hysterical tears, there really is love. And in the moment of Leah going demon possessed crazy on Sam there really is love. And when Emma is saying No Sam to everything that Sam is saying and doing, yep hard to see but there really is love. Or when Sam decided that Leah's prized possession belongs on the roof ... yah
