The things that have made me smile this last week or so....
While it was hailing I called Sam outside to check it out. He ran outside and exclaimed, "Its raining tough"
While Leah and Sam were making their leprechaun traps, Sam was writing on his box Do not Enter.
Leah pipes up, "What if you get a leprechaun from France or something? It won't know what you are writing"
"Well I want one that speaks our talk or Abraham's (Sam's Spanish speaking friend) talk cause people who speak Abraham's talk can also speak our talk."
And since we are on the topic of talk, I know that I should not find it so funny but Sam is at that point in his education where he is learning to write, which involves him sounding out words and then writing the letters. Well since Sam is a lazy talker and for the most part does not move his jaw or tongue he pretty much never uses the letters, L, D, P, R, and the list goes on. So now every time when he is sounding out a word I am just losing it. He sits there all serious repeating each word over and over, slowly going over every sound that is coming out of his mouth while figuring what letter he should write to make that sound and since half the sounds that are coming out of his mouth do not resemble any of the sounds the teacher has taught him he just goes with his own flow. Leah- spelled Wea, Love- spelled Wuv, Rain- spelled Wan. It is a good thing that he has a good memory or else his spelling would be atrocious for life.
Walking into my room, "hi Emma"
"Hi mom, How are you?"
Something about a two year old asking how you are that is just funny.
Thanking Ian for something....
Me- "If I was not already married to you I would marry you right now."
Ian- "That is what they all say."
