Most children it is a job to keep them clean, with Emma it is a full time job and even then people have to blink and it is within that blink, that girl is dirty again. I honestly do not know how she does it but we can leave the house and she is clean and by the time we get where we are going she is dirty again. There comes a point that her mom is just grateful that she has such cute hair and eyes and hopes that those will distract her admirers from the fact that you can not tell the color of her skin due to the dirt that covers her.
I told Emma that is was bath time and we had to wash her hair.... she got into the bath with her fireman hat on, proceeded to wash her face and body but threw a fit when I took her hat off to wash her hair. Nice try hunny.
This morning contents went as followed;
Emma has Sam's ball. Sam reaches for it and Emma does the tuck and turn with a very firm Uh Ah (No) escaping from her clenched mouth. Sam then goes and retrieves Emma's stroller (her most prized possession) "put the ball in the stroller Emma" entices Sam. Emma who loves to wheel around anything and everything gladly places the ball in the stroller which much to her dismay Sam immediately snatches.
Meanwhile I was making lunches and oversaw the whole thing and when Emma turns to me with the beginning of her long crying complaint, I said, "that was mean Sam, mean, mean, mean."
"No," said Sam from the living room, "that was cheeky" To which Emma immidiatly responded by going into the living room and saying, "mea am mea mea mea." Which in the moment seemed to be a very clear, mean Sam, mean mean mean for a one year old. I knew that she is repeating everything that we are saying right now but the emotion that she put into these words and for saying them for the first time just made me laugh.

Its amazing how much they grasp at this age.
She knew what she was saying :)
she is so on to her brother
love the fireman hat in the bath
I can identify with the dirt and mess all over. You should have seen Brooklyn while waiting for Ethan at the bus stop today. Dirt all over her, the stroller,her doll and on it goes.
Have a wonderful rest of your day!
