San Diego

Well we went to San Diego for a gas company rodeo. We left the house at 2 on Friday and arrived at the hotel at 8.... lets just say that LA traffic sucks and there is only so many times you can play the stinky foot game.

It was great seeing Ian doing what he does every day. Although he did freak Emma out with his appearance. She kept screaming at him and then when he turned around she would yell at him cause apparently his gear was not acceptable.
The kids had fun getting their faces painted and going on the bouncy house FOR FREE!!! Sam got an icee and when Leah said that she wanted one and how much are they. Sam's eyes got huge and blurted out, "They are free, I just got in line and they gave me one and did not ask for money or anything"

And of course we went to the beech. I decided we just need one of these in our back yard and the kids will keep themselves entertained for hours.

The ride home went much better. We left at 12:30 and was home by 4. Thank God cause we were all exhausted and just needed to be able to put our three kids in their own rooms and shut the door on them for a while.
Some of the funny quotes of the weekend: At lunch before we were heading home Ian had his head in his hands and Sam pats him on the back and says, "your all right dad, it is going to be ok."
At the beach while the kids were working on their tide pool I asked Leah to look at me so that I could take her picture, without missing a beat she kept on working and just said, "right now is not a good time mom, I am busy". It was like hearing myself speak from a seven year old body.
Emma seemed to enjoy the sand a little too much. It was in every crook and nanny of her being.
