We arrived back from a wonderful, most delightful trip to Tahoe. The weather was wonderful and the sun shone on our faces while we played in at least the four to five feet of snow. The kids had a blast ice skating and sledding and Ian had a wonderful time snowboarding. The whole time was great... a little too great so of course there had to be something that made our hearts pound and it was left to our dog Hawthorne to do it. On the way home we stopped at a fish hatchery to let Sam feed the fish and Hawthorne found a beagle friend to play with. We blinked our eyes and the dogs had disappeared. After two hours of knocking on doors, locating the owner of the other dog, driving through over grown dirt paths that were not meant to be driven on and going parched calling for Hawthorne and Joey (the beagle) we finally found Hawthorne waiting for us at the parking lot where we had originally parked. Damn blessed dog. I will let the pictures say the rest.
