Quit crying and pull up your big girl undies...

So my new Year resolution was to get Emma potty trained which resulted in getting some big girl underwear which she was thrilled about. She quickly proceeded to attempt to put all four of them on at once. Which was a little hard since she has a remarkable ability to get both legs in the same hole every time. Well finally with some help she got all four on and finally verbally agreed to go pee pee on the potty. She was dry for a couple hours and a few runs to the bathroom to gaze down at her potty (still determined not to sit on it) and then just before going to bed she let loose and we had to say bye bye to the undies as all four of them went into the washing machine. It was a comical first attempt and the excitement on her face and in her voice was priceless. So yah I figure I am giving myself a year to do it.... no reason to stress it up but God bless the day when I am done with diapers. Emma - "today at school we were talking about things we want and things we need." "HMmm really. what are some things that you want and what are some things that you need?" well I want candy but i need a home yeah that is great and I want that car that Tucker has and i can drive it and I fit perfect in it and can go for rides wherever I want and take Tela for rides but I NEED clothes. *sigh* Leah was actually back seat driving me over the weekend. we were on the 5, stuck in traffic and for 20 min she is telling me to switch lanes. SWITCH LANES!!! why are you not switching lanes? that lane is moving faster, shoot it is moving period!! Switch lanes.... and then I told her we were heading to Pasadena and she would get outraged every time I would pass a sign that had Pasadena on it. Mom we passed Pasadena again!!! Fun with bubbles

We had a nice afternoon at the park. Leah was still in school and despite Emma taking off after every dog that she saw it was great being outside. One dog that Emma befriended had my opposite eyes. They were brown with one eye that was half blue. It was pretty cool and weird at the same time... I should have gotten a picture. Oh well Emma still has not completely grasped the concept of the juice box. It was fun to watch though. And he just kept blowing... She never was discouraged that she could not catch the "ball, ball" Sam would blow the bubbles and Emma would chase them. Sam is getting to be great on the monkey bars. He can go all the way across.
